2nd Annual G-Man Diamond State "50" Shoot Out  Who Will Claim The Wins This Year?

Delmar, DE…..How fast and furious can you be?  Looking to win some cash?  Think you can out run some the top local karters?  Well, here is your chance!  Let’s see how you all stack up this Saturday.

The U. S. 13 Kart Club Track is running the 2nd G-Man Diamond State “50” Shoot Out this coming Saturday, October 10, 2009 (rain date Oct. 11).  There is a lot of money for all classes if you win?  How’s $500 smack-a-roos?  Majority of the races pays just that to the winners.  Then the Flathead Heavy 375 class (age 13 - up) you could win $1,000.00 in a 25 Lap Feature The big money, $2000, goes to the Animal Heavy 375 Class (ages 13 - up) with a 50 lap session.

The 50 Lap Feature will include 2 - 25 Lap Segments with 15 minute break in between. (You can change anything on kart except - Motor - Oil or Driver).

Last years Animal Heavy 375 winner went to Charlie Vallandingham; can he retain the title again this year?  Flathead Heavy 375 title belong to Richie Hornsby as last year’s winner.  Can he keep his lucky streak and claim the win this year.  Hornsby can drive a kart; no matter whose kart he runs, he almost always winds up front.

Junior I, II, III winners took home $500 each last year and the defending winners Will Argo, J B Loomis, and Alex White will be back to try win for this year.  Will any of last years champs reclaim the win?

The other features will run 25 laps for the classes below

All the features have a $50 entry fee with the exception of the Animal Heavy 375 which has a $60 entry fee.  If you register early you can save $10.  Forms to register early are available on the club web site at www.dekarting.net.

To kick off the weekend, the track will run a regular night of US 13 Kart Club racing action.  Normally, you have to be a member of the club to race or as a guest to see if want to join the club.  This weekend will be open to all.  And if there are 15 or more karts that sign up for the Friday Pro-medium 375 you stand to have a chance to win $500 for the winner.  So a Club race on Friday night, Oct. 9th will give you a chance to get a feel for the track. The gate opens at 5 PM Practice at 7 PM what a perfect time to test out the track!

The grounds have room for campers just outside the track for overnight should you wish to come Friday.

On Saturday, the gate will open 9 AM, registration 9-11 AM, drivers meeting, and then the start of practice at 12 PM.  The tracks hot line is 302-846-2624, web is available at dekarting.net.  If any questions you can call - Richard Pearson - 302-858-8909 or Randy Campbell - 445-235-0020 for any info or help.  See you at the track!
